Relic System

The Relic System turns iconic weapons into a collection that strengthens your character. Register relics to develop your Relic Mastery, unlock abilities, and choose the bonuses that best suit your class.
This guide explains how to obtain Relics, register them, activate their abilities, and use the forge. At the end, you will find all 66 relics, their weights, and each ability's bonuses, with the English descriptions from the game client.
Overview
| Feature | How it works |
|---|---|
| Collection | 66 Relics, spread across No-grade, D, C, B, and A. Each allows up to 5 registrations, for a total of 330. |
| Individual ability | Register 5 copies of the same Relic to unlock its ability. Then use Activate Ability to select it. |
| Selected abilities | One per grade: up to 5 simultaneous abilities, in addition to Relic Mastery. |
| Relic Mastery | Gains one level for every 10 registrations. At level 33, it grants +5% damage dealt and −5% damage taken (PvP and PvE). |
| Forge a Relic | Combine 1 to 4 Relics of the same grade per row to try to obtain one of the next grade. You can forge up to 5 rows at once. |
Open the Exilium menu and select Relic. The Relic tab contains your collection and abilities; the Forge a Relic tab contains the forge.
How to obtain Relics
Relics can be obtained from drops in Raid Bosses, Grand Bosses, Atelia, Kamaloka, and Merkios. Chances vary by source. You can also obtain Relics by opening a Relic Vault or using the forge.
Relic Vault
Each box you open gives you one guaranteed random Relic. Its grade is drawn according to the distribution below; you cannot choose the weapon you receive.
| Grade | Approximate chance per box |
|---|---|
| No-grade | 51.61% |
| D-grade | 25.81% |
| C-grade | 12.90% |
| B-grade | 6.45% |
| A-grade | 3.23% |
Daily mission — Embers of Conflict
Receive 30 rewards in the Battlefield or Resonance Field and claim 100 Forge Coal and 1 Relic Vault in the daily missions window. The objective counts the rewards received from these activities.
Relics are distinct versions of these items. An ordinary weapon with the same name or appearance cannot replace the Relic version for registration or forging.
How to register a Relic
- Have a copy of the Relic in your inventory, unequipped.
- In the Relic tab, select the weapon you want. Use the grade filters to find it.
- Click Register and review the confirmation.
- When you confirm, one copy is consumed and that Relic's counter increases by 1.
- Repeat until you reach 5/5 to unlock the ability.
Registration permanently consumes the item. The registration becomes part of your collection; the weapon is not stored for later withdrawal. Opening the confirmation does not consume anything.
Each registration also counts toward Relic Mastery, including duplicate copies up to the limit of five per weapon. For example, registering one copy of ten different Relics already grants Relic Mastery Lv. 1, even without unlocking any individual ability.
The collection belongs to the character and is shared between their main class and subclasses. It is not shared with other characters on the account.
How to activate and combine abilities
After reaching 5/5 registrations, select the Relic and click Activate Ability. The selected ability works as a passive: you do not need to equip or carry another copy of the weapon.
- You can keep one ability from each grade: No-grade, D, C, B, and A.
- Activating another ability of the same grade replaces the previous selection for that grade.
- Switching requires being in a peace zone and out of combat.
- Selections are saved separately for each class/subclass. When you switch classes, the game loads the corresponding combination.
Your selected abilities and Mastery appear in the Relic Skills group on the passive skills tab.
Example: you can combine Broadsword (No-grade), Artisan’s Sword (D), Tsurugi (C), Keshanberk (B), and Dragon Slayer (A). To switch from Dragon Slayer to Soul Bow, both must be unlocked, and the change affects only the A-grade selection for your current class.
There are offensive, defensive, and utility options. Some offer greater bonuses in exchange for a penalty. Check the description before activating: the weapon type does not necessarily determine whether its ability is physical or magical.
Relic Mastery
Mastery improves automatically for every 10 relics, up to level 33. It does not occupy any of the five grade selections and follows your overall collection progress.
| Total registered | Mastery | Damage dealt | Damage taken |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Lv. 1 | +0.15% | −0.15% |
| 50 | Lv. 5 | +0.76% | −0.76% |
| 100 | Lv. 10 | +1.52% | −1.52% |
| 200 | Lv. 20 | +3.03% | −3.03% |
| 330 | Lv. 33 | +5% | −5% |
Mastery applies to the character's direct physical and magical attacks and damaging skills, in PvP and PvE. It does not apply to fixed damage, damage over time (DoT), summon damage, or environmental damage. Reflection does not receive a second Mastery multiplier on the reflected damage.
Forge a Relic — how to forge
The forge uses Relics that are still in your inventory. Each row makes an independent attempt with one of the following outcomes: a random Relic of the next grade, a random Relic of the same grade, or, for incomplete rows, breakage with no item produced.
- Open the Forge a Relic tab.
- Drag Relics from the virtual inventory or double-click to add them.
- Place 1 to 4 items of the same grade in each row. They can be different weapons.
- If you wish, fill additional rows, up to a maximum of five. Different rows can use different grades.
- Check the success chance below each row's result, the total weight, and the required materials.
- Click Forge a Relic and confirm the consumption.
The available progression is No-grade → D → C → B → A. A-grade Relics cannot be used as forging materials. The items used must be unequipped.
The attempt consumes all selected Relics and the listed materials, regardless of the outcome. A row produces at most one Relic, even when it contains four items. The result is delivered to your inventory; it is not automatically registered in your collection.
Required materials
Costs are fixed and calculated from the total weight of the Relics in all rows. You do not need to discover a recipe or adjust the temperature.
| Material | Required quantity |
|---|---|
| Forge Coal | Total weight ÷ 100, rounded up. |
| Auralyn | Total weight ÷ 170, rounded up. |
Chance of obtaining a higher grade
The chance is calculated separately for each row, using its weight and grade. Heavier Relics increase this chance, but also increase material consumption.
| Input grade → higher-grade result | Upgrade chance, in % |
|---|---|
| No-grade → D | Row weight ÷ 100 |
| D → C | (Row weight ÷ 100) × 0.9 |
| C → B | (Row weight ÷ 100) × 0.8 |
| B → A | (Row weight ÷ 100) × 0.7 |
These values are subject to the limits below. The percentage displayed below the result is the upgrade chance; it does not include the possibility of receiving a Relic of the same grade.
Full rows and breakage risk
| Relics in the row | Breakage with no item | Maximum upgrade chance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 30% | 70% |
| 2 | 20% | 80% |
| 3 | 10% | 90% |
| 4 | 0% | 100% |
The chance of receiving a Relic of the same grade is what remains after subtracting the upgrade and breakage chances. The upgrade limits are not guaranteed chances: the actual chance depends on the row's weight.
Example with one B-grade Relic weighing 1,000: the chance of upgrading to A is 7%. The outcome probabilities are 7% for an upgrade, 63% for another B-grade Relic, and 30% for breakage.
With four Relics in a row, you always receive an item: if the upgrade does not occur, you receive a random Relic of the same grade. This eliminates breakage without a result, but does not guarantee recovering the number of Relics consumed or any of the weapons you put in.
One row's result does not determine the others. In the same batch, some rows may upgrade, others may return items of the same grade, and others may break.
Catalog of all 66 Relics and abilities
The bonuses come from the selected ability, not simply from owning the weapon. Each ability requires five registrations of its corresponding Relic. The listed weight is the one used by the forge. Watch for negative signs on abilities with penalties.
